Caroline Taylor, Founder & Chief Executive Officer
With over two decades of experience in the Contemporary Art markets, and more than ten years as an appraiser Certified in Post-War and Contemporary Art at the Appraisers Association of America, Caroline Taylor founded Appraisal Bureau with a core mission to combine today’s technology with industry-leading credentials to deliver a standardized basis of value in the global art markets, universally accepted and accessible. Previously, Caroline was a Curatorial Associate for the Deutsche Bank Collection, and has additional experience at Phillips, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Felix Gonzalez-Torres Foundation.
Caroline regularly speaks on panels and lectures on emerging technologies and art. She holds a BFA in Painting from Pratt Institute and additional Financial Math and Statistics coursework from New York University. Caroline is on the Chairman's Council of the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami.
Stefano Magini, Founding Engineer & Head of Product
Stefano Magini is a seasoned Lead Engineer and Software Architect with extensive experience in designing secure, scalable systems across both traditional and emerging technologies. His recent work includes developing solutions in the blockchain DeFi sector, leveraging his expertise in Ethereum and Cosmos SDK for smart contract and node development. Before that, he worked in the blockchain gaming industry, shaping products and leading the launch of in-game tokens to bridge gaming ecosystems with blockchain technology. Early in his career, he honed his skills in the legal and compliance tech sector, mastering traditional tech stacks and best practices in software development and architecture. Dedicated to creating user-driven solutions, he bridges technical excellence with strategic vision.
Caitlin Murphy, Fine Art Appraisal Manager
Caitlin Murphy is a Fine Art appraiser specializing in Modern and Contemporary Art. Her previous experience includes corporate art sales, museum administration and account management for institutions including ArtLifting, the Harvard Art Museums and the Savannah College of Art and Design. She is an Associate Candidate of the Appraiser’s Association of America following her completion of the Comprehensive Appraisal Studies program in 2023. Caitlin earned her Masters degree in Art History and Museum Studies from Tufts University, and Bachelors degree from College of Charleston.
Cristina Couvillion, Frontend Developer
Cristina Couvillion is a software engineer specializing in frontend web development. She attended Georgia Institute of Technology, where she completed degrees in Psychology and Computer Science, reflecting an interdisciplinary focus on user-centered development and human-computer interaction. Since graduating, she has worked at various Atlanta-based startups in the logistics, AI, and healthcare domains.
