Adding and Removing Artworks

When adding artworks you may add a single work or many works at the same time. Click 'Add Artwork' on your home dashboard. On the next screen select either 'Add Single Artwork' or 'Add Multiple Artworks'b and click next.

If you are adding a Single Artwork on the next screen you will first type in the artist's name. If the artist is already in our database, the name and country/year of birth will auto populate. If the particular artwork is already in the database you will see the title in a dropdown as you are typing, selecting that will auto populate the remaining fields (dimensions, medium, etc). Only fields with '*' are required. If you don't know the Provenance for example, just leave it blank. You do however need to add the artwork to a Collection, you'll see a list of your existing Collections in a dropdown. You can also make a new collection in this step too. You may add one image, or multiple images of the artwork, then click 'Next.'

On the next page you can go ahead and subscribe your artwork to be appraised. Appraisals usually have a two week lead time, you can select a delivery date anytime after that. And you can always change or add your subscriptions later too. Or just click 'skip' if you want to come back to this later.

On the next page you can add any relevant documents, such as invoice, condition report, past appraisals. or a certificate of authenticity.

On the final (5/5) screen you can go ahead and add anyone you would like to share access. This is a great opportunity to add your financial planner or insurer. Just type their email address and click 'Add.' You will then see their name appear with a drop down to choose the level of access you would like to give them. The three options are Manager, Editor, and Viewer.

Click 'Finish' and you have now added your artwork! Remember, whichever Workspace you are in (you can check this by clicking the dropdown on the left of the top navigation bar) is where the artwork will live.

If you are adding several artworks, select the option 'Add Multiple Artworks.' We use a csv file to upload many artworks at the same time - the most important thing is that the different data fields are in the correct column. We've added a template you can download and use. The other important thing is that images are named to match the entry on the csv file. This is just so the images will link to the correct artwork - you can use whatever ID or numbering system you choose, just make sure that the artwork entries on the template have an ID that matches the correct image.

Once you upload the file if there are any issues, for example our database doesn't recognize certain fields, you will receive an error message. You can always add or remove more images, documents and data later.

To Remove and artwork navigate to the Portfolio Page. Click the checkbox to the left of any artworks you would like to remove, then click the Bulk Actions dropdown and select Remove.
